Anna Wintour On A Subway?!?

Jan 13, 2010Breaking Newzzz

Anna Wintour and New York City Subway does not compute.

Today’s Page Six item in the New York Post says that the new Vogue Publisher, Susan Plagmann is cracking down on expenses for the magazine and that, “Senior people have been told they must take more subways to meetings as opposed to Town Cars to save money.” Well, shut my mouth. Frankly, I don’t care what she says, but Anna Wintour (my hero) should be allowed to keep her Town Car to go hither-and-to as far as I am concerned. I am happy to start the Anna Wintour Town Car Fund and hereby make my first donation of $100, to what I believe is a very worthy cause.

Now, I am not saying that Anna is too good for the New York subway system and I am sure she is riveted to know that she has that option. Wouldn’t you have loved to be the fly on the wall when she got that memo? Any money bet says that Anna rolled her eyes, threw her coat on Anne Hathaway’s desk and said, “FOTZ”. So help me, if I see her squished up against some homeless person on the 1/9 subway, Starbucks in hand, I will plotz. The item points out that the new Associate Publisher Lottie Oakley took the train last week. Grab me a violin.

  1. I think the subway and the bus are great ways to stay in touch with reality. Where else can you see fur and old navy? Would it hurt Anna to see what real people wear?? Not that she doesn't deserve to be treated the queen she is..

  2. Cody Allen says:

This is a no. You can't put Miss Wintour on a subway. That's like eating sushi with a fork. You just don't do it.

  3. […] really bad, but still… Also, you can justify your laughter at the suffering of everyone without daily car service with a “maybe it’ll get better […]
