Seriously… What drugs do you have to be on to 'create' something like that and send it out on a runway (even though it's only LA fashion week nobody cares for anyway)????? This is just like the ripped t-shirt with diapers attached to it that I've seen a few years ago in a store in NYC. The shirt was priced at $90 and the sales clerk told me 'it's very avant-garde'. the only good thing about this shirt was that the diapers weren't used…

A month after NY Fashion Week where everyone (including LA's finest--from Rodarte to BCBG) has ALREADY shown, and after all the press has traipsed through Milan, London and Paris and is already yawning, and with no serious backing from the city or participation from designers of any power or influence, you expected something different? OF COURSE IT WILL SUCK.

OF COURSE Ericka hasn't heard about it; who's paying anyone to produce and market this thing? Not a soul. It's all wishes and dreams. And the seasonal newbie who says "I can fix LA Fashion Week!" And so it continues to hobble along, with earnest young things, earning your snickers and sneers.

Great post by the way. Sadly the locals keep pointing to Skingraft as some sort of LA Fashion Week savior. Hah! Thanks Abe for setting the record straight. LOVE the Addams Family reference.

It's amazing how the Los Angeles shows seem to be stuck in a 1980s Guns N Roses collection. For one of America's most trendy cities, thanks to Hollywood, Los Angeles fashion is decidely fifth rate and ho-hum. Thanks for sharing.
