Whatever my thoughts are on the subject, and you can imagine plenty, the Paris Spring ’13 Men’s Shows just happened and my take away was this.
Before we get into shorts, or out rather, Pierre Cardin showed this and tons of other utter nonsense.
Walter von Beirendonck showed a Queen Elizabeth (the first) inspired culotte suit.
Thom Browne never disappoints. Here is his homage to Elsa Schiaparelli, that or he just had a case of crabs and was inspired.
Christopher Kane showed that he prefers boxers over briefs.
Julien David likes the Hammer shorts for those who wear Depends.
Thierry Mugler would turn in his grave if he were dead. And this is one way to kill off a brand. What is this even? It’s half short, half T-shirt, all nonsense.
Rick Owens doesn’t know from shorts. Skirts and dresses… yes. Shorts, no. Which is why you gotta love him.
Damir Doma thinks a leather knee length skort is the must-have item for spring…for men. Girl, it’s not even for women. It’s call schvitzing.
