Free Arts NYC Art Auction – April 23

Art for God's sake.

Just so you all know, I am turning over a new leaf and adding a fundraising component to I Mean What by supporting charities I believe in or the one’s that my friends twist my arm to promote. The Free Arts NYC Annual Art Auction is a little of both. I worked on a project with Free Arts NYC a couple years ago, they are a great group that supports arts programs for under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential.

THE EVENT: Amy Sacco, Mary Alice Stephenson and Amanda Ross are banding together to Chair this cool event. Why not kill several birds with one stone: Buy a ticket. Join these Style Setters. Have fun. See… rather… buy art.  Get soused.

ABE: Hey Amy, why not tell the folks why it’s a good thing to attend the Free Arts Annual Art Auction.
AMY SACCO: A good thing? Who are you, Martha Stewart? All I can say is that the event is fantastic, and if you don’t attend, you will never be allowed into one of my nightclubs again.
ABE: That’s the spirit. Mary Alice, what reason do you have for supporting the arts?
MARY ALICE STEPHENSON: Twyla Tharp said it best, “Art is the only way to runway without leaving home.”
ABE: That reminds me of the American Express commercial, “Don’t leave home without it.” So, Amanda, does Free Arts take credits cards for tickets and art sales?
AMANDA ROSS: What do you think?

WHEN: Monday, April 23 from 7-10 PM
WHERE: Eyebeam | 540 West 21st Street | NYC.
HOW: Click here to buy a ticket… or else?

That is AWESOME. If you ever take it to ebay, let me know. Fundraising for charities on ebay is what I do. You know, when I'm not walking the boss's dog, picking up dry cleaning, or other assorted mundane tasks. 😉

    Best of luck, babe!
