Black Is Clearly Not The New Black

John Boehner's crocodile tears are what Democrats should be shedding.

I am a Democrat. I am also furious. Not that we lost the House. We all should have known that was coming and been psychologically prepared for the landslide. Seeing Barack Obama dumbfounded the next day at the press conference proves that, as he even referred to, “the glass bubble” has kept him at arms length from the American people. After all, every bloviator accuses him of that or being an “aloof Harvard professor”. Say what you want about Obama, but first look at this website that documents all the great things he has done in the last two years. http://whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com/ For the nation to take such a drastic turn to the right so soon after rallying “the change agent” into the White House…well…it is maddening. Somewhere over the past few months it was no longer in vogue…or in Vogue…to support Obama, or his minions. Most guilty of this landslide are all the phony fashionistas and pretentious celebrities that were nowhere to be found during this election cycle. Sure, they were front and center doing PSA’s in 2007 and 2008. Why not? More camera time for any of those clowns is a good thing. No…clearly supporting the Democrats…a.k.a…Obama…was not going to help ticket sales or retail sales or whatever the hell you are selling…and in many cases something produced by a toddler overseas. Yes I am mad…because black is clearly not the new black anymore. And anyone with sense knows…that black is always the right choice. It works every time.

Let me name some names here. Where were Andre Leon Tally, Puff Daddy or P. Diddy or whatever the hell his name is this season? Pharrell Williams, Natalie Portman, Russell Simmons, the cast of Gossip Girl, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore…yes, they’ve been all over Twitter…but saying the dumbest things. Demi’s daughters must be cringing. Where was the call to action to get out the vote? Where were our great communicators to help explain what great things have been accomplished in the last two years? Barack had faltered. Where were all his high profile supporters when he needed support most? And now that we have lost, where is the outrage? Right here. I am mad as hell and sadly, I have to take it. Seems like only Bill Clinton was out there shouldering the burden of carrying the message for Barack…who stole the nomination from his wife Hillary…talk about showing up unconditionally. John Boehner‘s crocodile tears reflects what I wanted to do on election night. Cry for the many phony bold face names that used Barack Obama’s meteoric rise to fame as their tailcoat to ride on. And once that luster was gone…it is off to the next shiney toy…Sarah Palin, who just had another fashion makeover and featured on the cover of New York Magazine. You watch…she will be the toast of the town. And then I get out of Dodge.

I am 100% with you on this one. It was an appalling lack of show. It never ceases to amaze me that the American public always returns to default–apathetic, narrow-minded, bigoted, reactionary. When Ms. Palin takes the oath of office I hope that all of us can be safely ensconced in another place.
