Our family tradition at the Thanksgiving meal is going around the table sharing what we are thankful/grateful for. Mine was about having the fortune of being raised by the most dynamic and wonderful parents who are no longer with us. As concentration camp survivors, they gave me an inner strength that I carry to this day and will for all my time on Earth. It definitely separates me from the boys. This morning I watched this video of Gabrielle Giffords doing volunteer work at an Army Base in Arizona and thought that she has that same keen instinct that the concentration camp survivors have. She is everything we can all aspire to be. Wishing her and all of you a remarkable holiday season.
On a side note: Kim Kardashian served the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission. Why does that not seem genuine?
