Gay Marriage Equality: Bizarro World

Nov 22, 2011Gross Baboons

Yes, you are reading that correctly.

What planet do we live on…. or better yet… what century is this? With our economy tanking, incomes declining, costs rising, joblessness stagnant, Kim Kardashian invisible and Nicki Minaj about to be featured in Vogue magazine, it is as though we are living in Bizarro World. The fact that gay marriage is even part of the political conversation by Republicans in this election cycle proves how scary and out of order their priorities are. They live in an alternate universe and their rationale is frightening. Listen to this idoit, a.k.a. Michele Bachmann’s Iowa Co-Chair:

This crazy loon (sorry for being redundant) Tamara Scott warns that gay marriage will lead to women marrying objects like the Eiffel Tower. I didn’t know that the Eiffel Tower was a lesbian. This woman is part of that same camp where Marcus Bachmann is straightening up all the Jerry Sandusky’s of the world who have come to be healed. The Bachmann crew is so out of their minds that it makes Ron Paul seem viable. And for that, I rest my case. Then we have this douche bag, Rick Santorum saying:

Rick is saying that gay marriage will make it so that the United States will fall? Now, correct me if I am wrong, but, YOO HOO… WE HAVE FALLEN! This election is about picking up the pieces from our crumbling infrastructure and deteriorating values caused by idol worship and globalization and our desperate need to Keeping Up with the Joneses or the Kardashians anyway.

Now, do yourself a favor and watch these two commercials that are running in Maine to support Marriage Equality. They are moving, speak to our similarities as opposed our differences and the Republican mantra of Hell Fire and Brimstone and Damnation, oh my!
