My usual routine is to brew a pot of coffee, read the headlines online and determine what’s my story of the day…then start writing. Somehow nothing struck my fancy. Sure, there is the health care issue (debacle) that is exploding in our faces. The fact that right wing fringe lunatics are leading the charge and changing the dynamic of getting universal health care is heartbreaking. But not shocking. And that Sarah Palin still gets this much airtime? Well, it’s all just wrong. In an effort to shake the Glenn Becks out of my head, I perused the gossip websites only to find them sooo incredibly boring, that the health care issue seemed more entertaining. Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart having sex, Mischa Barton falling, Bernie Madoff’s sex life…I’m breching (vomit in Yiddish) at the thought. Gossip is becoming so boring, don’t ya think? I think Eric and Rebecca are totally hot. Who wouldn’t want to diddle with them? So, where’s the story there? And Mischa Barton? Leave her alone. And Michael Jackson is still a top story? His mom wants to consider a wrongful death suit…move on…please. There is a cute little piece about Jane Fonda finding romance (she’s 71 years old) with Richard Perry, record producer, proving it is never too late for love. As a single person, it’s nice to hear those kinds of stories. But everything else? Yikes.
Are You Over Gossip?

I'm totally over gossip. Gossip in many cases has overtaken facts and real news. While gossip allows people to escape from reality, but shouldn't become the reality they live in. Too many important issues happening.
i'm so happy for Jane Fonda. I read her blog too, and she sounds head over heels. As someone who doesn't believe in love, I have to admit, it makes me smile.
Part of my job is PR for the work my company does, and sometimes it is a must to visit the gossip sites, or the like. I can stomach it if I'm getting paid for it.
