Olivia Wilde no comprende Ingles. For weeks I have telling her to hire a better stylist. Here at the Do Something Awards, she wore a dress that could have been yanked off the back of Pentacostal Evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson.

The biggest news after looking at the Fall ’10 Men’s Shows is Grey is the New Black. Period. Sure, black was all over the runway, too, and should always be a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. I don’t care (and nor should anyone) when the editors scream for “Color, Color, Color” like they did last season. Let all those editors walk around in horrendous shades of blue and orange (Gina Lollobrigida orange, to be exact) and leave the humans to wear what makes them look good, namely, black and/or grey. Now we have a whole new meaning to grey. Your job… Read More »

Am I just an old, jaded, desensitized grump who disagrees with everything out of sheer habit or do I say what many people feel, and don’t say anything?!? Looking at the list that Barbara Walters (Babba Wawwa for those of you who remember Rosanne Rosanna Danna) put together for her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 reads like the 10 Most Googled People on Earth. Frankly, Google should do their own online TV show and let Babba settle into the distance. Google-able and Fascinating are not the same thing in my mind. Let’s discuss for one minute the word fascinating.… Read More »

Here we have another edition of Last Five Minutes of Fame. This is an odd week because some of the people on this list are the current obsession of the media. Maybe it is wishful thinking. But I am testing my witching powers to see if by virtue of putting them on the list, if that has an impact on what we will see in the press going forward. Which is such a sad state of media affairs. I heard that Access Hollywood told a publicist that they only way they will cover an event if Jon Gosselin attends. Like… Read More »

Between the Tony Awards and The Young Hollywood Awards, there was much fodder to fiddle with as stars rolled down the red carpet and made their usual attempt to grab that extra bit of spotlight. Sure, the Tony’s don’t get the same rush and sizzle of The Young Hollywood Awards or the MTV Movie Awards, but you might see a little more grace and elegance-ish. There were plenty of red carpet mistakes last night on both coasts.  I’d like to give props to the theater community crowd because it all starts and ends with the craft of acting. Somewhere along… Read More »

There’s something fantastic about Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle’s second place finishes on American Idol and Britian’s Got Talent (respectively). What, you say? How about a clear message that “winning is not everything”. What a great statement for all to see and hear especially when Adam and Susan will undoubtedly have fantastic careers moving forward. Yeah, yeah, Kris Allen is adorable and the Diversity dance troupe from last night’s Brit win are extremely talented…but…yoo hoo…snore. As a confirmed slacker, seeing people not win and succeeding anyway makes my heart go pitter-patter. It reminds me that not being a goodie-goodie (like… Read More »

Not winning American Idol was the best thing that could have happened to Adam Lambert. When the little foof Kris Allen won and had to start singing that incredibly horrible song by Kara (fierce abs) DioGuardi, the future was clear for Adam. Kris has to make all the traditional AI moves and Adam is going to saunter into a recording studio and do what he wants as an artist. The AI texting public is not who will ultimately make Adam a star. It’s his vision and extreme talent that will find him a massive worldwide, loyal following. Why? Rock-n-Roll Rules.… Read More »
