The ex-Kate Middleton got to wear two major dresses today. The wedding dress, which we liked, and then the party frock for the reception, which we like. Both were designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, and neither of which were done in the tradition of the House of McQueen. Instead, we have two very lovely, very simple and elegant dresses. The cocktail party dress with cropped sleeve angora sweater was tasteful and understated. You got to love Kate for insisting on simplicity, based on how challenging the British economy is. She played this out like a fiddle. And if… Read More »

Holy Charlie Sheen
Greetings from having internet again. Ugh, I was a wreck. In the midst of waiting for the Verizon man today, biting nails, cursing and screaming at the innocent tech support person on the phone who was located in Mexico, as it goes, I got a text from a friend who invited me to see Charlie Sheen at Radio City Music Hall. My assistant said, “You have to go!” Somewhere in my moment of insanity from the call to Mexico, I had enough clarity of mind to respond, “You didn’t actually buy those tickets, did you?” We bantered back and forth… Read More »
When the global economy took a nosedive back in September 2008, the whole world changed. The perception of what is cool and the reality of what is sellable had to be revisited. At that time, the mens runway shows in Paris, Milan and New York featured a look that catered to what I called Manzies, and it was the end of an era. For those of you who don’t know, or want a refresher course… Q. What is a Manzie? A. A Manzie is not a Pansy or a Dandy. A Pansy doesn’t necessarily dress effeminately to be teased by… Read More »
As a matter of fact, Beverly Hills Fabulous is so fabulous that it makes the word fabulous not fabulous enough. While channel surfing on Saturday night, don’t feel sorry for me, I was out to dinner with friends and could not sleep, but I digress. Anyhoo, I stumbled upon Beverly Hills Fabulous on VH-1. Now, if you are at all a fan of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo, do yourself a favor and DVR this show. The show takes place in a Beverly Hills hair salon called Elgin Charles. Hilare barely describes it. Think Church Ladies meets self-anointed… Read More »
With the passing of Elizabeth Taylor, there is a hole in the celebrity fragrance market that Justin Bieber can fill with the launch of his new product line, Justin Bieber Scented Dog Tags. Move over Jennifer Aniston with your Lolavie nonsense because The Biebs is here with a fresh take on how to smell. The celebrity fragrance and celebrity designer industry is alive and kicking and Justin’s dog tags are the best of both worlds. It is a fragrance that will spice up your wardrobe, while spicing up the way you smell. It is borderline brilliant in a kitsch kind… Read More »
Alexandra Wallace In Playboy
In what now turned out to be a tactical move by UCLA student Alexandra Wallace, the stupid co-ed will be swimming up to Hugh Hefner in the coming weeks to discuss being featured in Playboy. No, it is not true, but you’d think that this girl, photographed here like a Hooter, had visions of grandeur all along, from when her breasts first bloomed as fully as they are? Why else go to UCLA, steps away from the Playboy Mansion? Her quick side step out of college proves that she is going to pull a Snooki and start taking money to… Read More »
Mila and Justin are off and running into poontang heaven. She is stunning, and he is lucky to get her. But yeah, he’s really cool too. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n–oGq4F0DY… Read More »
Rather than go on a vitriol of my own about the tone of this past election cycle, which I am fully convinced is due in large part to the way Sarah Palin ran her personal popularity contest, I’d rather bring a little light and levity to what is now a time for heavy hearts. This weekend, a tragedy of tremense proportions has befallen on Arizona, and the world. Any way you slice it, it was no different than the underwear bomber of last Christmas, and every other recent terrorist act. Acts that are becoming way too commonplace in a world… Read More »
