Humble Beginnings

Our family residence was a low-income nest nestled on a non-tree-lined street amongst a glut of row houses. Think of the East End of London without the cache of, well, London.… Read More »

Lose the bangs girl.

Lindsay Lohan made an appearance to promote her Saturday Night Live hosting duties on The Today Show with Matt Lauer sporting a new set of bangs. Bangs are not for everybody. Her face is too round and it does not look great. Speaking of not looking great, check out Gabourey Sidibe at some event last week. Sorry, get it together girl. Back to La Liz, whose nickname also applies to La Lohan. Look at this snapshot of Liz. Lohan looks better without bangs as shown in Love magazine. Now if Lindsay wants to play Liz looking- The Cleopatra Years, she… Read More »

Fresh off the heels of the most romantic moment in couples history, I am left wondering who we have in the United States that can remotely be called our own royal couple. Enter Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. Don’t look now but the slow burn of promoting the next and final-ish chapters of the Twilight Saga has begun, kicking off with an exclusive cover story in Entertainment Weekly. The timing seems intentional, can’t you hear them in the EW cover meeting now, “Let’s put Bella and Edward on the cover, America is drunk with romance thanks to the Royal Wedding“.… Read More »

The 11th Commandment

Thou Shalt Not Take The Name Of Elizabeth Taylor In Vain When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the Fifteen Commandments, as depicted in Mel Brooks‘ History of the World Part 1, there were five commandments that never saw the light of day. (Watch this short clip to learn about this little known biblical fact in Exodus 20:2–17.) httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5aO7sswvJo Anyhoo, one of those laws as commanded by the Lord himself was: Thou shalt not take the name of Elizabeth Taylor in vain. Sadly, we have become a society not dissimilar to those Israelite hedonists running rampant in the desert,… Read More »

The news of Sarah Palin‘s seemingly larger breasts almost overtook the BP Oil Spill as the most talked about item of the week. Once again, it shows how deep the American conscience runs. Dead birds…awww…can’t deal. Big, shiny new breasts…let’s discuss and re-Tweet. We must stop trying to act like the leaders of the free world when all we can think about are tits and ass. Our obsession with body parts has tainted our ability to see the forest from the trees. Or the war and the peace, frankly. To my point: Every men’s magazine has actresses in skanky positions,… Read More »

I just needed to post these images for Elizabeth Taylor circa 1963 from Cleopatra. I mean come on…who is as remotely beautiful as this in the movie business today? Kiera Knightly? I don’t think so. Penelope Cruz? Angelina JIloe? Maybe-ish. She’s stunning, sure, but La Liz was the most gorgeous thing that ever walked the sound stages…and Earth for that matter. My assistant, Ryan, thinks Snooki is.… Read More »

Just about everyone on Earth has been affected by Michael Jackson…somehow. Whether it’s your fondest musical memories, your endless, desperate, unsuccessful attempts to do the “moonwalk”, singing songs from Thriller in the shower to test your vocal chops or dancing in the mirror, alone in your room, grabbing your crotch. Michael Jackson is there, in your system, in your heart, and surely everywhere in the pop culture vernacular. We all adored him until we began to despise him. Reading all the reports, headlines, glowing life stories, endless news coverage of the late, great King of Pop, I could not help… Read More »
