One of New York’s mainstays on the social and nightlife landscape is the incomparable Patrick McMullan. He recently launched PMc Magazine, which will feature fashion, entertainment, parties, events, and well, all groovy things. I am happy to be part of this venture and will do whatever Patrick wants. My name is Abe Gurko…though I go by Abe as in Cher…one name only.
2: What do you do and what project are you currently working on?
I have a boutique PR and event firm with a focus on fashion and lifestyle clients which includes G-STAR, MNRKY, Roy Teeluck Beaute, Meatpacking District Initiative and anyone else that will listen.
3: Where are you from and where are you going?
I am originally from New Jersey, which Woody Allen made taboo in the 1970’s. But when you consider that Meryl Streep, The Boss and Bon Jovi are too…it sure beats Montana.
4: Who is your biggest hero?
Bette Davis.
5: What book is your bible?
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success or Hollywood Babylon.
6: What are some things you love? And some things you hate?
Love: laughing, movies, writing, goofing on others.
Hate: pretentious people, people who drink the Kool-Aid, insincerity, and seeing people cry.
7: What is your raison d’être?
To bring joy and smiles to all who read my blog, I Mean…What?!? PLUS making money.
8: What is your favorite color?
Black, it’s slimming and grey, which is the new black.

Betty & Veronica. Can I have two?

My place.
