We are family, I got all my sisters with me.

It’s odd not seeing Fern at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, but then again, I had issues adjusting to the second Darrin Stevens on Bewitched. Guess we all have to just move on. … Read More »

Juliette Lewis @ Williamsburg Music Hall

It is not often that I go to Brooklyn. Yes, I know how cool it is…and perhaps how cool I am not. Did I say that? Anyhoo, Juliette Lewis has been on a worldwide tour for her new album Terra Incognita. Her schedule reads like that crazy movie title from the 1960’s If It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium. Fortunately, she is making a brief stop in New York, the Music Hall of Williamsburg to be exact, and I am running not walking to Brooklyn. I suggest you click here or on the image above to get whatever tickets might… Read More »

Surely you are anticipating the I Mean…What?!? Gross Baboon of the Year Award, which will be granted later this year. Yes, move over Razzies, because the Gross Baboons are coming. For you newcomers, the GBOTY Award honors those annoying people that have graced monopolized the media to the point that it makes me say, “I don’t need to see that”. Nominees to date include: Mel Gibson, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods, Jon Gosselin, Joselyn James…get the picture? Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are the latest nominees and their new-found togetherness has even created a new category,… Read More »

What can you say about Carrie Fisher that she hasn’t said about herself? Few have achieved the iconic status of this broad and even fewer have her wit. While in New York City filming her Broadway smash hit, Wishful Drinking for HBO, Carrie and I lounged around her suite at the Greenwich Hotel reminiscing about Paul Simon, Percocet and house hunting in the 90’s. Surely this is IMW-TV’s shining hour…or ten minutes anyway. Enjoy. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzHVkj4mhpo… Read More »

In today’s Women’s Wear Daily, the discussion is whether New York deserves a Men’s Fashion Week, similar to those in Milan and Paris. Listening to the argument, one has to side with the reality that New York needs one in order for these designers to compete with the international business cycle. Naturally I MEAN WHAT?!? has a different agenda, and are voting in favor of New York Manzie Week. Imagine how much fun we will have, especially with the next series of shows being Spring 11, when light frothy outfits come tra-la-la-ing down the runway on gossamer wings. (Note: Whoever… Read More »

The Isaac Mizrahi Interview

Here’s another installment of IMW-TV with the incomparable Issac Mizrahi. Isaac is a true renaissance man, he sings, he designs, he makes movies, he hosts television show, he designs some more. In a town that is loves to pigeon hole you into doing one thing, Isaac has broken that mold and crafted a life of creativity and glamor, and always with a sense of humor. Herewith, my interview at his design studio in New York City. Are you on Twitter? Click here to follow I Mean…What?!?… Read More »
