Posh Spice…Posh?

Ooh, Davey me likey. Pweeze.

Ooh, Davey me likey. Pweeze.

Although I am on a quasi-vacation, this ditty caught my eye so I wanted to share the horrendosity of it all. Posh Spice’s handbag collection is worth $2,000,000. Like I care to know this? This is news? That she needs 100 Birkin bags speaks to a much larger story of neediness and self-absorption. How Beckham deals with this is a bit of a mystery to me. Seems like Guy Richie had enough of the Madonna overkill and set himself free. But, hey, who am I to judge what goes on behind closed doors. If I were the Beckhams, I’d much rather plant stories of my altruistic activities rather than what the hell in in my closet…if you know what I mean.

Britney's spending was out of control. Escalades for everyone, even midgets.

Britney's spending was out of control. Escalades for everyone, even midgets.

Let me not let the day go by without absolutely I MEAN…WHAT-ing the fact that Britney Spears spent almost $800,000 per month during the kookoo era. Britney, Michael Jackson, these people should just crawl into a hole and repent for not sparing some of that cold cash to charitable giving. Britney gave away only $6,000 per year to charity. And this is who little kids want to emulate? And want to see make a successful comeback? So that she can go and do it all over again? There should be a mandatory government law that Obama institutes where celebrities must give away a specific portion of their earnings that goes to charities in the US. It’s like an Entertainment Tax. Sorry kids, but otherwise, this rampant spending might just be curbed. So, if Barak wants to regulate the auto industry and Wall Street, well doll, add this to your plate to help cover all your social spedning costs. All in favor of the ET (Entertainment Tax)…

Agreed. My day job is running charity auctions for celebs, and 90% of the time, its wonderful. My other job is for a celeb that is very outwardly charitable, and its a real and honest thing. So luckily I am surrounded by the better side of it all. But it always gets me wondering about the people that aren't outwardly charitable. Or the ones that are, but you can tell its just a photo op. On one hand, I am glad they are getting the charity in the news and money in its bank, but on the other, oh, I don't know. it just feels WRONG.
