OK, OK. Sure Michelle Obama is fierce. And very stylish. And totally cool. And really smart. And her politics are wonderful. And her positive impact is being felt worldwide. And her husband is Barak Obama. OK, OK. But I have to draw the line in the sand to this ridiculous comparison between her and Carla Bruni. First of all, why must we simpletons resort to comparing at all. Why can’t people just stand on their own merit. Why can Michelle just be fabulous, compared to nobody. And what is to be gained by declaring that Michelle “out-glamed” Carla? I’ll tell you what…NOTHING. Because whatever the retarded media needs to do to try to sell their tree killing wares, I can assure you Ms. Carla Bruni Sarkozy doesn’t give a shit about:
a. what we think
b. what Michelle was wearing, I bet she thought it was too “catch me, catch me”
c. why Barak didn’t kiss her hello
This whole desperate comparison to make Michelle the better First Lady is exactly why the Europeans can’t stand us Americans. It’s not because of us Americans, it’s because of our annoying media. After 9-11, I moved to Amsterdam for a couple of years because, well, I could. But the anti-American sentiment abroad was palpable. Sure Bush was an ass, but the media touted his crap from here to Timbuktu. And now, finally, we have a chance to restore our good name and standing, at least in Europe, and this is what we do out of the gate? It’s so grade school. “My mom’s better than yours, nya nya.” I mean…what? Stop this now. And might I add here…just to level the playing field…that Carla Bruni is fantastic, chic, gorgeous, talented, hip, groovy, sophiticated, oh, and stunning. So, let’s not go there. Let’s not compare Michelle (apple) to Carla (orange). Let’s just revel in the fact that our First Lady is lovely, and represents us in the best possible way abroad and then SHUT THE FUCK UP!
