Each season, Karl Lagerfeld does an amazing collection for Chanel that editors wait for with baited breath as the grand finale of Paris Fashion Week. Once again, he delivered the goods and the spectacle. For the last few seasons, he’s been throwing some men’s looks into the show as eye candy. Speaking of eye candy, seems like Karl is obsessed with model, Baptiste Giabiconi. What is the deal with nominating ten films for Best Movie for an Academy Award? They needed to add those extra five like I am going to the moon. Sure, they talked on and on about the Golden Age of Hollywood and that they had ten nominees. Yoo hoo, that was when Hollywood was churning out hundreds of movies a month. Of course there were ten nominees. Let’s not compare apples to oranges here. Golden Globes?!?
Not sure where you stand with the results of last night’s Golden Globes, but can we all agree that it is a sad state of affairs if The Hangover and Avatar are the best movies of the year. Best Cash Cows? For sure. But Best Movies? Really? I loved Avatar, was thoroughly entertained. Don’t get me wrong, it was a visual masterpiece. The script was a tad hokie. Was it as moving and gut/heart-wrenching as The Hurt Locker or Precious? I don’t think so. This year is surely an upset for Kathryn Bigelow, who totally deserves to win every award.… Read More »
